What is Rule of 3?

• a writing principle that says things presented in sets of three are more powerful and engaging
• a classic story convention of triplets such as three brothers, three trials, three gifts
• a production company dedicated to building immersive worlds and telling compelling stories

Rule of 3 integrates many art forms and media styles to create both traditional and interactive stories and worlds. We love to see collaboration between artists, believing that by crossing the lines that traditionally divide art forms we can continually learn and grow. In that spirit we are planning to host quarterly or biannual Works in Progress parties. The first one will be this August and serve as our official launch party as well as the very first of these open-format showings. We welcome artists of all ilk - be it dance, visual art, costuming, music, or something we haven't even thought to categorize - to contact us about participating. All we ask is that you bring something unfinished and are open to an interactive, constructive atmosphere of feedback!

Producer's Notes

Welcome! Please forgive the dust as we get settled into our new site and our new name. Take a moment to look around and learn about our many projects from interactive games, to dance, to our planned expansion into theater. The Producer's Notes area of our site will be how we communicate with our audiences and community, letting you know what we are up to and how we plan to get there. Check us out on G+ and FB as well. We have a large and wonderful community of volunteers that not only help with all aspects of our productions but often get together to support charities in Atlanta and beyond, or participate in various races and sports. We love having a Rule of 3 showing at things like the upcoming Warrior Dash and the Atlanta Fringe Festival, both of which are in May.
